Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.

Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
AUTHOR GUIDELINES
Synergía, in its commitment to sustainability and credibility for readers and contributors, adheres to a strict originality policy. Only unpublished works—not previously submitted or published in any other journal—will be considered.
AUTHORSHIP

Contributors may be individuals, legal entities, or corporate bodies. The author(s) are solely responsible for submitting complete manuscripts, including text, tables, figures, photographs, and other illustrations.

Single or multi-authored submissions are accepted. For multi-authored works (3–7 authors), the lead author must be listed first, followed by co-authors in descending order. The corresponding author (for communications) should occupy the final position.
SUBMISSION PROCESS

ORCID Requirement: All submitting authors must register for a free Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) at https://orcid.org/signin.

Cover Letter: Include a signed letter certifying:

The manuscript’s originality and non-submission elsewhere.

The article type (e.g., research article, review, reflection, or short communication).

Two potential reviewers with contact details (optional but encouraged).

Download the cover letter template from the journal’s website.

Review Timeline: Manuscripts undergo evaluation within ≥90 days. Feedback (if any) will be communicated to the corresponding author via email.
AUTHOR RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Rights Retention: Accepted authors retain copyright but grant Synergía exclusive rights to publish, edit, distribute, and index the work nationally/internationally.

Withdrawal Policy: Manuscripts may be withdrawn prior to peer review by formal request to the editor. Simultaneous submissions are unethical and prohibited.

STRUCTURE DETAILS

Title: Arial 14 pt, bold, ≤20 words (sentence case). Scientific names in italics.

Authors: Arial 12 pt, right-aligned (full names as cited).

Affiliations: Arial 11 pt (institution, country, ORCID, email).

Abstract/Keywords: 200–250 words (objectives, methods, results, conclusion); 3–6 keywords in English/Spanish.

References: APA style, alphabetical by author. Accuracy is the authors’ responsibility.

Acknowledgments: Recognize funders, advisors, field assistants, etc.
