Within Title IX of the Political Constitution, which deals with Public Finance, in Chapter 3, the General Comptroller of the Republic is established in Articles 279 and 280, where the characteristics, requirements, and functions of this state entity are indicated. Regarding this last point, in numeral 13 of Article 280, the function is specified to submit to the Court of Auditors, for its judgment, the accounts of agents and public servants in charge when objections arise due to alleged irregularities.
