Abstract

The present paper reflects about the nature of knowledge management in professional formation, since Higher Education is endowed with the responsibility of educating competent professionals, capable of profiting the most from diverse learning environments, so that they can acquire knowledge sustained in sociocultural interrelation and scientific and technical advances. Therefore, knowledge management is identified from various positions to manage information in a way that is pertinent and relevant as another step in knowledge acquisition. The higher educational process is conducted in contemporary society in a way that university students should be trained to search and access several types of information.
