The capacity of imagal stage of two species of Coccinellidae Harmonia axiridis and Chnoodes terminalis to predate Mango Scale Coccus mangiferae (Green) at different prey and predator densities was evaluated. In order to do this, 30, 60 and 90 scales with 1, 2 and 3 predators per prey density were placed together on 6 mango plant Results show significant differences in predatory effectiveness on both species as well as significant effects in predation rate. Predatory behavior in both species coincides with previous observations in other species of Coccinellidae praying aphids (Aphididae). Qualitative observations on H.axiridis and Ch. terminalis predation and feeding behavior complemented this study.
