Abstract

The purpose of the research is to measure the degree of digital skills among students in order to detect aspects to improve in their professional training, both in the field of marketing and business management. This research was carried out with a descriptive approach and a mixed methodology, in which information was collected through the use of a questionnaire. The group consisted of 86 students, from both the Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Promotion and Sales Administration and the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Among the results obtained, 65.1% of those surveyed stated that they have a medium level of knowledge about social media management tools, while 1.2% have no knowledge. In another aspect, 45.3% indicated that they have a basic level regarding the use of e-commerce platforms, in turn, 100.0% of the students surveyed indicated that they would take courses focused on digital skills for their professional preparation. On the other hand, 52.3% stated that their main difficulty in developing these skills is the lack of courses or workshops and 1.2% due to lack of interest.
