The ecosystemic meta-principle, as a new perspective within complex thinking applied to the didactics of social sciences, arises from the need to overcome the fragmentation of knowledge in the teaching of this discipline and to promote an education that considers the interconnection, interdependence, and feedback of social systems. Through a qualitative research study with a case study design conducted in educational institutions in Soledad (Atlántico, Colombia), it was identified that current teaching methods lack an integrative and contextualized vision. The study revealed that, although teachers implement various didactic strategies, students do not always feel heard or understood, creating a gap in meaningful learning and emphasizing the need for a renewed approach to complex thinking.
